ATHOLHU hardware is crafted primarily from stainless steel — selected for its strength, stability, and resistance to oxidation.
This allows our bags to accompany daily movement with minimal maintenance while preserving their original appearance.

Over time, subtle surface changes such as soft marks or gentle softening of shine may occur. These are natural signs of use and do not affect performance.

Daily habits

To maintain the original finish:

Avoid direct contact with perfume, alcohol, or cosmetic products
Wipe hardware gently with a soft cloth after exposure to moisture
Handle clasps, locks, and zippers with controlled movement

Small habits support long-term appearance.

Cleaning

If cleaning is required:

Use a soft microfiber cloth to remove fingerprints or marks
For light residue, use a slightly damp cloth followed by immediate drying
Avoid metal polish, abrasive materials, or chemical cleaners

Stainless steel requires gentle care rather than intensive treatment.

Storage

When not in use:

Store your bag in its dust bag
Avoid pressure between hardware components
Keep in a dry environment away from prolonged humidity
