Object | The Tote 32 — Small. Deliberate. Complete.

There is a version of getting dressed where everything is considered and nothing is effortful. The outfit works. The bag works. Nothing is competing for attention — including the bag itself.

Most bags make a case for themselves. They are structured to signal seriousness, or sized to demonstrate capability, or detailed to show that a decision was made. The Tote 32 makes none of these arguments. It simply arrives, fits, and disappears into the day — which is, quietly, the hardest thing to design.

Why

The ATHOLHU Tote Collection is built as a progression, not a range. The Tote 37 is the default — the bag designed for the full working day, for the woman whose morning starts at her desk and ends somewhere past 6pm. The Tote 42 is for authority and capacity — the long trip, the day that carries everything. Both are deliberate, both are serious, both ask something of the woman carrying them.

The Tote 32 asks less. Not because it is lesser — but because some days do not need carrying through. The meeting that ends at lunch. The Saturday that stays unhurried. The morning where the bag should be the last thing on your mind. The 32 was designed for those days — and for the woman who understands that choosing a smaller bag is not a compromise. It is a judgment.

What It Is Made Of

Full leather, the same construction logic as every bag in the Tote Collection. Structured enough to hold its shape when carried, soft enough to move with the body rather than away from it. The handles sit cleanly on the shoulder without slipping. Hand carry falls naturally without adjusting the grip. The interior fits an iPad, a wallet, the essentials of a day that knows its own limits.

There is no excess here — no pockets that will never be used, no hardware that exists for visual effect, no volume that invites filling beyond what the day actually requires. The 32 is precise in the way that well-designed small objects are precise: every decision justified, nothing present by accident.

Three Colours, Three Registers

The Tote 32 is available in cream, red wine, and black. This is not a colour range in the conventional sense — three versions of the same bag offered for variety. Each colour changes the bag's register so completely that choosing between them is less about preference and more about which version of the day you are dressing for.

Cream as the weekend colour. It extends an outfit rather than anchoring it — disappearing into light dressing, providing quiet relief against darker clothing, becoming part of a tonal story rather than interrupting it. The days that belong entirely to you: the unhurried Saturday, the afternoon with no agenda, the morning where the bag should be the last thing you think about.

Red wine is for the social occasion — the lunch that matters, the dinner that deserves to be dressed for, the afternoon that is not quite an occasion but is not quite ordinary either. It deepens as the day does: considered in daylight, something richer in the evening light, the colour that provides the only warmth in an otherwise neutral silhouette.

Black is for the sharp workday — the day with a fixed shape, a clear agenda, and no room for a bag that requires thought. It anchors without arguing. It adjusts to the morning meeting, the afternoon errand, and the evening that was not planned without any of them asking it to. Not a colour decision — a decision to let everything else make the decisions.  Unstyled. Unhurried. Ready.
